Our StoryThe journey to build the Working Well Doctor has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, I've focused on staying true to the core values of Growth Mindset, Acceptance, Compassion & Permission.
The inspiration for The Working Well Doctor came from my passion for us all to find our way to work well.
The name evokes the metaphor of a water well; a reserve we can draw from to refresh and sustain ourselves…
Our Values
Good Work is Good For You
Good work makes you feel good and helps those around you.
There is dignity in work, as well as the pay, recognition, sense of purpose and enjoyment it can provide.
Most of us care deeply about our work and it is important that it feels right for us.
Growth Mindset
Alongside her fair share of knowledge and skills, Katya has lived experience of late diagnosed Neurodivergence and knows first hand the importance of learning, trying and growing.
Permission
Permission to look after yourself is really important alongside all the caring you do for others.
Read more here You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup, the Importance of Permission.
Acceptance
Stigma among professionals remains a real barrier for so many who may be struggling or feeling overwhelmed.
We have made it our mission to shift this - one conversation, training or coaching session at a time.
Compassion
Through all this compassion is key, for ourselves and those around us, at work and at home.
Stories can Heal
Stories connect us and help us make sense of the world.
We need to understand who is driving the stories we hear, and tell ourselves.
Only then can we make considered choices about what voices we believe, which then shapes our actions. Stories also help us connect with our creativity.
Katya runs creative writing workshops and writes a regular newsletter - sign up here Thrive Well News.
Values Driven
We take the time to reflect and work in a manner aligned to our values; including our community connections, approaches to menopause and environmental sustainability.
