How to Work Well
Hi guys
Isn’t the sun gorgeous this week?
"Be patient with yourself. Shouting at a flower won’t make it bloom"
- Charlie Mackesy
OMG I can be soo impatient, I just want the thing done now. Yesterday. Immediately.
How about you?
As professionals we are pretty used to getting results. If you put the effort in - you get results, right?
Well yes, absolutely.
But some things just take a little time.
Especially the stuff you do to steer your career, grow into your leadership role or learn how your brain really works.
This is the stuff you can’t fully learn from a textbook or self directed online course, though these can form a helpful starting point.
To refine and embed your learning you need to have a go, try, (maybe fail), tweak, iterate and improve.
Doing this with a coach is waaay more enjoyable than going it alone.
Because it does take time, and we need to be patient, while not loosing momentum.
I tried this without a coach and it was a dispiriting experience.
With a coach, things felt easier and, although there was still no quick fixes, I made progress much faster.
This is why I now work as a coach for amazing professionals with neurodivergence, and those without.
Coaching is such a powerful way help high achievers and those with wonderful sparkly brains become more effective at work. And most importantly, to enjoy it.
To work well.
It’s at the core of what I do and why this whole shebang is called The Working Well Doctor
Let me know your thoughts, I love hearing from you.
Till next time,
Take Care
Katya
